During my architectural career I often stitched photographs of a site together to get an understanding of the surrounding context.

Sometimes the original photos were taking in a linear sequence:

Sometimes panoramic photos were taken from a single shooting spot:

And sometimes photos were taken while walking around a site:

Between 2008 and 2009 I spent 8 months in Europe. Much of the architecture there was too big to fit within the frame of my compact camera, so instead I would take several photos and stitch them together:
