Why Sunsets Are Red

"Why Sunsets Are Red" by Mui-Ling Teh

Gazing at the world in front of me,
The beauty I miss when the days are crazy.
So many battles going on,
And then so many lives are gone.

Violent aura heats the sky
A scarlet red from bodies that lie
On this earth to with they unite as one;
One cycle ends, and a new one has begun.

And when the sky gets cool the stars shine through;
No longer red but a dark calming blue.
Crimson mist rains back to the blood stained earth
Where the red poppies grow new life is given birth.
